A striking new mural in Kirkdale marks a key moment in Onward Homes’ long‑term commitment to investing in existing homes and creating the strong community foundations needed before building new homes across the region.

A community‑led transformation

The mural is the culmination of resident‑driven projects delivered through Onward’s work to improve the energy efficiency of 400 homes. By listening closely to customers and focusing on what matters locally, Onward and its partners have:

  • Improved local greenspace, turning a neglected area into a wellbeing hub and food‑growing space
  • Worked with Liverpool City Council to introduce a new approach to waste management shaped by residents
  • Enhanced facilities for young people at Everton in the Community’s 41 Goodison venue, creating a safer, more supportive environment

Partnerships that create value

This work has been supported by Novus Property Solutions, whose donation of skills, materials and funding helped generate over £104k in social value for the local area.

Kevin Rhone, Head of Social Value and Customer Care at Novus, said:

Working with Onward is about more than improving homes – it’s about building futures. We’re proud to deliver social value that makes a lasting difference.”
